AIFMD Coordinator (m/f) – Part-Time 60%

Company

Our client is an entity management and investment solution, partnering with a leading financial services firm, playing a key role in managing several billions of assets. 

They are looking for an experienced AIFMD Coordinator (at 60% – part time), as the primary contact for the global coordination of mandatory documentation under the European Directive on Alternative Investment Funds (AIFMD), liaising with teams across Europe, Asia, and America contributing directly to the success of various funds.

 

Position

  • Act as the primary coordinator for the global management of required documentation under the European Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), collaborating closely with teams across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
  • Develop and maintain close partnerships with deal teams to ensure timely access to essential information, address operational aspects of their investments, and stay ahead of developments in the investment pipeline.
  • Oversee the prompt gathering, meticulous review, and precise delivery of regulatory documents to the depository bank designated by the funds for each new investment, divestment, or asset restructuring.
  • Conduct an annual review and maintain records of each asset’s ownership status by obtaining valid proof of ownership or deregistration certificates confirming disposal.
  • Compile all necessary documentation for the fund’s annual audit within tight deadlines, ensuring it is complete, accurate, and fully compliant with audit requirements.
  • Manage the annual review process of each Operating Memorandum in coordination with the depositary bank.
  • Promote team understanding and adherence to evolving Luxembourg fund regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quarterly KPI meetings with the appointed depositary bank, alongside management, to address strategic priorities, resolve escalations, and define actionable next steps.

Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in AIFMD, compliance, or corporate law, with a solid understanding of AIFMD depositary responsibilities.
  • Knowledgeable in the maintenance, holding, and financing of investment fund structures.
  • Capable of managing complex document workflows and interpreting the objectives of AIFMD regulations.
  • Skilled and tactful communicator with a strong grasp of client dynamics, able to connect with senior leaders internationally across diverse cultures, both orally and in writing.
  • Approachable and pragmatic team player who adapts quickly to changing needs while upholding high-quality standards, with a flexible, independent mindset and strong ownership.
  • Candidates must be willing to work at 60% only, per week.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
